Joe Volpicelli is the Head of Creative of Prudential Financial, leading their 50+ person creative team whose work encompasses creative and video production efforts for their in-house agency. His role also puts him at the intersection of external work being done by agency partners, McCann for the Now What? campaign and Interbrand for ongoing brand strategy efforts.

Joe is responsible for overseeing all creative work and the sports and entertainment sponsorships with the New Jersey Devils, Rutgers Basketball, The Rose Bowl, Broadway theatre, professional rock climbing, and the Prudential Center in Newark.

Much of Joe’s work focuses on promoting economic opportunity for underserved communities, which includes creating programs to support local black owned businesses through Prudential’s partnership with the NJ Devils in the Buy Black program.

Prior to going brand side, he has had agency creative leadership roles at Deutsch LA, BBDO, and Grey to name a few. Joe earned his bachelor’s degree in art & design from Pratt Institute in Brooklyn.
