Best Buy
Ned Munson and Michelle Cherland are Senior Creative Directors at Best Buy. They were brought in to help reboot the brand from the inside out, championing the vision for Best Buy’s creative campaign and innovating new ways to tell creative stories about technology. Best Buy’s “imbedded” brand side agency creates all of Best Buy’s brand advertising, including over fifty TV spots annually with A-list directors, along with social and content.

Ned began his career as an art director interning at Saatchi & Saatchi London and later Crispin Porter Boguski. He eventually found his way back to Minneapolis at agencies like Fallon where he worked on brands like Nordstrom, Mini Cooper, H&R Block, Red Wing shoes and Cadillac.

Michelle began her career as a writer at a boutique digital agency creating innovative ideas that for brands like Dairy Queen, Forever 21, Cambria and American Express. An advocate for young talent, Michelle has also taught and guest lectured at Miami Ad School, Brainco, and the University of Minnesota.

Ned and Michelle met a decade ago and instantly became a team despite having very opposite feelings on cats, sports, and electronic music. Together they launched a global campaign for Invisalign, while also creating award-winning work for CPG, tourism and retail brands. They feel very lucky to work alongside best in class creatives, producers, and production companies to make cool stuff professionally.
